1. How do I use HRA Sell/Buy System?

In November of 2004, Halvorson Research Associates LLC (HRA) established our initial website where we focused on providing long term, undervalued, growth stock pick portfolios and individual stock research on the 800 stocks we followed. What we uncovered was a thirst by investors for additional information that they could use to determine risk, potential price movement, and the latest sector sentiment information. We realize that our information and philosophy is fundamentally based and is not timing orientated. There are many services now that are available on the internet for charting, timing, and momentum diagnosis but selecting the stocks that are fundamentally sound and providing actuarial data on sector sentiment, overall U.S. market sentiment, and having a user friendly sort tool for the available fundamental research would be unique at a reasonable price for all investor types.

In July of 2007, we decided to expand our research tools and offer them to all types of investors. Subscribers to our website will receive all the member benefits listed in the member benefit section. You will have our stock analysis on the 800 companies we follow which constitute about 75% of the U.S. stock market capitalization. In the analysis, we will tell you:

a. Whether the stock is a BUY, SELL, or HOLD classification based on our analysis.
b.
What are the latest 12 months earnings per share and through what quarter.
c. What dividend per share is expected, if any. This is also converted to an annual percentage based on the closing price at upload.
d. The latest stock price used in our analysis and what date that was.
e. The percentage change in price over the last month, the last 3 and 6 months.
f. What the CURRENT HRA theoretical market price should be and the associated potential price increase or decrease.
g. What the FUTURE HRA theoretical market price could be based on future earnings projections and the associated potential price increase or decrease.
h. What the current 4 year projected earnings growth rate is and whether that trend is negative or positive meaning whether it is increasing or decreasing.

HRA has now broken down the 800 stocks we follow into 19 industries, where we show the most recent 2 years, on a quarterly basis, of the condition of that industry's pricing. At our sector page, you can select the industry that you want to chart, and all the others you want to compare, and you will see a different colored graph for each industry. This data can help you determine how over or under-priced various sectors are in comparison to their history of earnings and theoretical price values collectively.

Our new sort page allows the user to select up to 4 variables from our bi-monthly, uploaded research database, set the prioritization of the sort variable, set each variable for ascending, descending or equal to values, then sort a select category or all stocks in general for the variables you select. You can scroll down through all the sort results. The individual stock research screen is handily located so that you can review all the data on the stock of interest from your sort results.

2. Which 800 stocks do you follow?

For a current list of the 800 stocks we are following and their associated stock symbols, please click here. Please make sure you review these as HRA focuses on leadership companies with at least 2.25 years of earnings history which means that new stocks, IPO’s, technology startups will not be included in our analysis. Most of the U.S. large cap and mid cap stocks purchased by institutions are included. We search for earnings growth with enough price and earnings history to generate actuarial data.

3. How often is this data updated?

We will update all the information on the website including performance data, the sector and overall market sentiment data, and the research for all 800 companies every 2 weeks around the 15 th and the last day of the month. This data will be current and include the closing information of the upload day.

4. Is this often enough?

Our system is based on buying and holding stocks with upward mobility potential. Earnings projections come out usually quarterly so, other than daily stock fluctuations there, is not a lot of change in a stock’s classification as a Buy/Sell/Hold. We try to be patient and not panic on daily fluctuations. We do not recommend momentum stocks, stocks without earnings, or stocks that do not have at least 2.25 years of earnings history. The stocks we work with are usually stable growth stocks with inherent less long term downward risk than stocks we do not recommend.

5. What do I do with the data you provide?

We recommend you set up an account with a broker or trader so that you can make transactions by yourself. This is a dynamic area where changes are happening in the pricing schemes used all the time but there are discount brokers you can use that will have a lower transaction cost per trade. Some of these are:

a. Scottrade – www.scottrade.com
b. TD Ameritrade - www.tdameritrade.com
c. Charles Schwab – www.schwab.com
d. E-Trade – www.etrade.com

You handle your own transactions and money and can use our information as you see fit. We never touch your money but just are an informational service. We do offer additional services for those accredited investors that would like us to handle their investments using our methodology. Please call or send an e-mail to us to find out more about these services and options.

6. How do I pay HRA and what happens if I am not satisfied?

When you subscribe with us, you will pay a set $90 fee which will provide you with access to all of the research on the 800 stocks we follow for a three month period. A better deal is the annual subscription where you receive a 15% discount by paying a $300 fee for 12 months of service. If you are not satisfied with the information or the service we provide, we will refund any unused portion of the yearly fee as calculated on a monthly basis.

7. How do our results compare with the competitive stock picking services and other investment alternatives?

HRA manages individual portfolios using their stockpicks.  Performance information is available upone request at custserv@HRAstockpicks.com.

Our unique sector sentiment research and sort function adds value to every investor.  These features will allow an investor to research our 800 companies to augment the information you are receiving from other sources.  Everyone has their own investment objectives, and the stock research available through HRA can prove valuable to many different strategies of investing.  For $90 per quarter, our unique data and sort functions are an excellent addition to the sophisticated investor's investment tools.

Money market funds and CD's are giving returns which cannot outperform current inflation rates.  HRA suggest that every investor should include a growth porfolio in their investment strategy, with the percentage dedicated to growth depending on the individual investor's risk tolerance and time horizon.  We at HRA are hoping that you see the advantages of investing in growth stocks for longer periods of time, creating a portion of your portfolio which may help your portfolio stay ahead of inflation.  Historically, stock returns over time have outperformed inflation by a significant factor.  We at HRA hope that we can help you build a long-term growth portfolio using our stock analysis and recommendations.

If you utilize our Over-Priced/Under-Priced Market Condition Analysis, you can see when there is a higher probability of a correction, either up or down. We show you the history of the index back to 1989 and you can see for yourself when the corrections have happened. There are times when it probably does not make sense to own stocks and rather cash out to wait for the correction to pass. HRA has been able to predict the probability of these events in the past using our GOPF Index (Greed, Optimism, Pessimism, and Fear) of Market Sentiment.

We are hoping that you see the value in our system and service that we provide and that you become a long time member of HRA stockpicks.com We wish you luck with your investments and we will strive to meet your expectations.
